Skatter + SketchUp 2017 + Vray 3 not working

When selecting host object nothing happens, no red points or anything. The interface also doesn’t work smoothly and freezes sometimes. Same problem on simple and complex geometries on small or large objects.

I have latest versions of SketchUp Pro, Vray 3 and Skatter demo.

What happens exactly? Any error message?

Try this:

  • Open the Ruby Console (Window > Ruby Console) and keep it open
  • Open Skatter and try to work with it
  • Tell me what appears in the Console

Hi I have the same issue. The menu isn’t working, I’m trying to follow a simple tutorial (http://forums.getskatter.com/t/tutorial-getting-started-with-skatter/26) but it doesn’t even product any points nor wants to select any group objects.

Please download and re-install : http://download.getskatter.com/
I have published a fix

any solution? i have the same problem

Are you on OSX as well or Windows?

Like I said on the other thread:

This seems like a license issue. (this happens to everyone who try to crack Skatter)
Did you purchase one?

i have this error

Error: #<TypeError: no implicit conversion of nil into Integer>

Hi Thomas, I found this thread searching for a solution to this error, and the only explanation i could find is that it’s a license problem, but I purchased an educational license (still active as you can see in the attached screenshot, along with the ruby console) and i’m having the same issue. I have used it without issues in the past with vray 2 but i think it’s happening since i updated to the new version (i’m on 3.40 right now). I’m using sketchup pro 2017.

Thanks in advance!

Your license expired on November 24th (56 days ago). I’m not sure why the UI says it is still active, I’ll look into it.

If you are still a student, you can apply for a new license : http://getskatter.com/academic/

D’oh! I didn’t recall exactly when i purchased it but i have just checked the date and you are absolutely right, my bad :frowning:

I’m not studying anymore right now but i will absolutely purchase skatter before long. Thanks Thomas!
